The National Employment Council for the Printing, Packaging and Newspaper Industry

A statutory body formed in terms of Section 57 of the Labour Act (chapter 28:01).

The NEC comprises of a certified employers organisation namely the Federation of Master Printers of Zimbabwe which represents employers’ interests and the Zimbabwe Graphical Workers Union, a certified trade Union which represents the interests of the employees.

The main function of the Natitonal Employment Council for the Printing Packaging and Newspaper Industry's Secretariat is to give effect to agreements between Federation of Master Printers of Zimbabwe (FMPZ) and  Zimbabwe Graphical Workers Union (ZGWU).

The Secretariat also carries out routine inspections in order to be proactive than reactive concilliating in labour disputes.

It is manned by a Chief Executive Officer, a Designated Agent,  Secretary and  Administration Clerk.
